Inner Range SIFER-P Credentials in the HID Hybrid Signo SIFER Reader

Updated: Sep 30

The HID and Inner Range “HID Hybrid Signo SIFER Reader” is a technology partnership to deliver our customers the convenience and flexibility that only HID and Inner Range can provide.

The HID Hybrid Signo SIFER Readers are flexible by design and capable of interoperability between 15 legacy HID formats and incorporates Inner Range’s 128 bit, AES encrypted SIFER-P format.

Inner Range’s SIFER-P format is designed for secure data transmission and storage, utilizing 128-bit AES encryption. This ensures that the data remains confidential and protected against unauthorized access. The SIFER-P format is commonly used in security systems and access control applications, allowing for secure communication between devices and ensuring that only authorized personnel can access or manipulate the data.

AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) is a widely recognized encryption standard, known for its effectiveness and speed, making it suitable for real-time applications. The use of 128-bit encryption signifies a strong level of security, which is crucial in environments where data integrity and confidentiality are paramount.

This vast array of legacy and modern credential support provides unparalleled choice when setting up and managing sites with multiple credential technologies.

HID is the leading provider of Mobile Wallet credentials for Apple iOS and Android smartphones and wearables; with the Hybrid Signo SIFER Reader incorporating Apple’s Enhanced Contactless Polling to support HID credentials in the Apple Wallet.
